What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, often referred to as “talk therapy,” is a collaborative process that helps individuals better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and experiences. Through evidence-based therapeutic approaches, psychotherapy can help improve emotional well-being, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and support meaningful personal growth.

Therapy is not only for times of crisis. Many individuals seek psychotherapy to:

  • Improve self-awareness and confidence
  • Manage stress and overwhelm
  • Strengthen emotional resilience
  • Navigate life transitions
  • Improve relationships and communication

  • Develop healthier coping strategies

At Cotton Mill Rehab, therapy is tailored to each individual’s unique experiences, goals, and needs.
